I’ve got a few older Dewalt tools that still run great, but the batteries are finally starting to give out. I’m debating whether it’s worth buying a new dewalt 18v xrp battery or switching to the newer 20V platform. Are the XRP batteries still a good option in 2025? I’ve seen a few online (some OEM, some aftermarket), but I’m not sure if they hold up or if I should just invest in an adapter and move to 20V.

DeWalt 18V XR is a rechargeable lithiumion battery and yes it is worth to buy in the 2025 if you are going to use this with older tools.
