Offers change often, so the outlet page shows what is live on the day you book.

Which Banana Leaf should you go to?

For a weeknight dosa near home, pick a neighbourhood outlet.

Borivali West, Santacruz West, Malad West and Bhayandar are all listed at ₹500 for two with a 4.4 rating, and all four currently show 25% off with PayEazy. Borivali is the busiest of the four. Its EazyDiner page shows a 4.1 average from 9.8K Google ratings, so expect a wait at peak hours.

For the thali, book Versova. T

he outlet's EazyDiner page names the South Indian Thali as its signature: Malabar curry, dal fry, mixed vegetables, an appam, a neer dosa or Malabar parotta, bisibele bath, and steamed rice with curd and papad. A meal here costs ₹900 for two, against ₹500 at the other western suburbs outlets. Diners at Lower Parel and R City Mall also talk about the thali. One called it a little more than one person needs, so share it or skip the starter.

For a day out built around a mall, choose R City Mall, Korum Mall or Viviana Mall.

R City Mall in Ghatkopar West (₹900 for two, 4.4) draws praise for its Veg Mallipuram, Dakshini Biriyani and thali. Korum Mall in Thane West (₹900, 4.5) shares the top rating on the list. Viviana Mall in Majiwada and Neptune Magnet Mall in Bhandup are the lighter options at ₹400 for two, each rated 4.0.

For the best rating at the lowest price, go to Kandivali East.

It is rated 4.5 at ₹400 for two, the best value on the list. Dombivali East is the cheapest at ₹300, but EazyDiner lists it as Fast Food rather than South Indian, so check its menu on the outlet page before you travel.

For South Mumbai, Lower Parel is the only outlet.

It is rated 4.3 at ₹500 for two, and diners describe a thali served on a banana leaf with appams, aviyal and sambar.

What Banana Leaf is like

Banana Leaf has been in business since 2006 under Malgudi Food Private Limited, and ran 20 outlets across India as of February 2026, according to Restaurant India. The format is casual family dining built around South Indian vegetarian food, with wooden interiors, temple-inspired artwork and Carnatic instrumental music. The crowd is mostly families and neighbourhood regulars, which is why the outlets sit in suburbs and malls rather than in one dining district.

What to order at Banana Leaf

Start with a dosa, add an idli, finish with filter coffee.

The chain's staples are the Kara Masala Dosa, Thuppa Sada Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa. The idli list runs well beyond plain: Chettinad, Dakshin Masala, Mulgai, Guntur Masala and Kanchipuram. Rice options include rasam rice, regional biryanis and Thairu Sadham, which is curd rice. The Rajni Dosa is the signature that sets the menu apart.

For a first visit, diners at the Borivali outlet keep coming back to the Thuppa Masala Dosa, Mulgai Idli, Rasam Vada and Sambhar Rice. At Santacruz, one diner ordered Thatte Idli, Kozhukattai Bombs, a Benne Podi Masala Dosa and filter coffee, and called everything fresh. At R City Mall, diners pick the Veg Mallipuram and the Dakshini Biriyani. Menus can differ by outlet, so confirm a dish on the outlet page before you plan a meal around it.

What it costs, and how to pay less

Plan on ₹300 to ₹900 for two.

Most outlets sit at ₹500, with Versova, R City Mall and Korum Mall at ₹900.

Five outlets show 25% off with PayEazy: Borivali West, Santacruz West, Malad West, Bhayandar and Versova. The other seven show an extra 200 EazyPoints. To use PayEazy, book a table on EazyDiner, take the bill with the EazyDiner deal already applied, and pay through the app. Offer limits, validity and conditions are on each outlet page, so read them before you go.

When Banana Leaf may not be the right pick

If you want a Kerala sadhya, or a counter-style filter coffee and idli of the kind Matunga is known for, Banana Leaf is a different meal. One diner said the thali is good but not what you get in South India. Service can also slow down at busy outlets: a diner at one reported waiting about 25 minutes to place an order. Go at an off-peak hour if you are short on time, and read recent reviews on the outlet page before you decide.

How to book

Booking a table on EazyDiner is free, and confirmations often come through in under 8 seconds. For a group, EazyDiner Concierge handles group bookings 24/7 on 786 100 4444. Pick the Banana Leaf nearest you, book a table on EazyDiner, and pay through PayEazy where the 25% offer is live.

Questions diners ask

Is Banana Leaf pure vegetarian?

The chain positions itself as South Indian vegetarian, and EazyDiner's Borivali and Versova pages answer yes. Two outlets carry different cuisine tags on EazyDiner (Lower Parel as multicuisine, Dombivali East as fast food), so check the outlet page if it matters to you.

Which Banana Leaf is the cheapest?

Dombivali East at ₹300 for two. Kandivali East, Bhandup and Majiwada follow at ₹400.

How many Banana Leaf outlets are there in Mumbai?

EazyDiner lists 12 across Mumbai and the wider region as of 3 November 2026. The chain runs 20 outlets across India, per Restaurant India in February 2026.

Can I book Banana Leaf for a large group?

Yes. Book on EazyDiner, or call EazyDiner Concierge on 786 100 4444.
