We finally received a look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's multiplayer gameplay, and it packs some interesting new additions (like wall jumps). While even more details are coming at Call of Duty NEXT, Treyarch and Raven Software outlined everything to expect in BO7 Bot Lobbies the upcoming open beta.

It will include six maps – Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge and Toshin – out of the 18 available at launch. Classic modes like Domination, Hardpoint, Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed are also playable alongside the Training Course. However, there's also the newest addition to the series: Overload.

Pitting two teams of six against each other (with respawns), it sees players depositing an Overload Device and dropping it in one of two zones. They have to capture it before the enemy team, though, but even if the latter deposits, you can disrupt the zone in question to earn a point and turn things around.

The open beta is available from October 5th to October 8th, but pre-orders can start playing early on October 2nd. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on November 14th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It's also available on day one for Game Pass.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Trailer Showcases Scorestreaks, Wall Jumping, and More

Treyarch and Raven Software have dropped the first-ever multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Unlike previous futuristic-style entries, it doesn't feature boost-jumping or wall-running, but you can jump off walls to reach higher spots. Check it out below.

Much of the sci-fi focus is on the Scorestreaks, from the Deployable Armored Weaponized Groundcraft (imaginatively called D.A.W.G.) to the Rhino, which possesses a powerful minigun. You can also call in the Legion, a drone swarm that explodes on contact. This is all in addition to the usual gunships, bombardments, napalm strikes, and whatnot.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will launch on November 14th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. Multiplayer will feature 18 maps (which include a few remastered classics), 30 weapons (with options to share weapon builds), and over 20 Scorestreaks. The open beta runs from October 5th to 8th, but pre-orders can play early from October 2nd to 5th.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Time-to-Kill is Currently Close to Black Ops 6

Design director at Treyarch for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – Matt Scronce – has taken to social media to discuss the time-to-kill (TTK) for the upcoming shooter, and how the developers aim to fine tune it to ensure that it strikes a good balance. In a post on social media platform X, Scronce has stated that the current build of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is sitting at a TTK similar to that of Black Ops 6.

As the game gets closer to release, Scronce has also noted that the developers are aiming for a TTK that makes sure that players don't die either too fast or too slow, while also making sure that there is enough room in the gameplay department for a variety of weapons to be effective.

"Currently sitting around Black Ops 6 [time to kill]," wrote Sconce. "We like where that has settled as not too fast and not too slow, giving enough time to buy Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies react and room for weapons to have diversity without targets feeling overly spongy."
